About Me
My background
Rodney L. Coleman, Sr., is a native-born Floridian. As a child, his passion was playing
basketball, and he excelled at his skill. Passing through the Broward County Public
Schools, he graduated with an athletic scholarship, he furthered his education at
Broward Community College, obtaining an associate degree in Art Education. He then
attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in Tallahassee
continuing working towards a degree in Art Education. Rodney’s plans were diverted.
He returned home where he served his community as a Fire Fighter for 30 years. He
retired in 2008 and picked up his paint brush full-time. Rodney is the CEO of Joyous
Creations by Rod, LLC. He has been painting for more than 50 years and has a
repertoire of his work displayed throughout his home-based business.
